"Three Days in August" by Nadezhda Azhgikhina and Catharine Theimer Nepomnyashchy

 
The Moscow publishing house MediaMir has just released Three Days in August, an eyewitness account, with photographs, of the August 1991 putsch in Moscow, co-authored by Nadezhda Azhgikhina and Catharine Theimer Nepomnyashchy. Azhgikhina, Executive Secretary for the Union of Journalists, formerly worked for Ogonyok and Nezavisimaya Gazeta. Nepomnyashchy is Professor of Russian Literature and Chair of the Barnard Slavic Department.
