The Russian Film Club at the Harriman Institute presents a screening of Alexey Krasovsky’s 2019 film Celebration,

followed by a discussion with Mark Lipovetsky (Slavic Department) and Daria Ezerova (Harriman Institute).

Set in Leningrad during the blockade, Celebration is a black comedy that put a polarizing spin on the genre of a New Year’s Eve film. Celebration has been banned for a release in Russia
